Recreational Pilot Permit (RPP)
The Recreational Pilot Permit is an introduction to aviation for the casual pilot. The permit allows for a recreational pilot to save on training costs, fly locally, and test out aviation. All students will learn about the key aviation chapters including Aircraft Systems, Air Law, Navigation Techniques, and Meteorology.
The Recreational Permit is heavily restricted due to the brief training curriculum. Pilots are limited to one (1) passenger, Day VFR conditions, in an aircraft with no more than four (4) seats.
A Recreational Pilot Permit (RPP) must be upgraded to a Private Pilot License (PPL) prior to the addition of any new ratings.
