The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is a four-seat, single-engine, high-wing fixed-wing aircraft. First flown in 1955 and still in production, more Cessna 172s have been built than any other aircraft.

The Cessna 172 is used for training and student / member rental. Many students use the 172s for cross country flying for their range and their ability to seat four. Group 3 (single-engine) instrument training is also conducted with these aircraft.
