Instructor Rating
An instructor’s rating is a requirement for anyone looking to teach ab initio flight training. It is often the first step for many commercial pilots when beginning their career in aviation.
A flight instructor may conduct both ground and flight training towards the Private Pilot License, Commercial
Pilot License, and Night Rating.
Entry Requirements
Prerequisites
- Commercial Pilot License
A student may enroll and begin the Instructor Rating ground school prior to having their Commercial Pilot License signed off provided they have completed the CPL flight test and written exam.
License Requirements
- Successful Written Exam (AIRAF)
- Successful Flight Test
- Category 1 Medical
